Chao-The Third Destiny P1

The sky reflected the bloody puddles while the wind whispered the names of the dead.  A Chao sat on the stone block, looking up at the sky, his wings tattered. He was remembering his home when he was just a hatchling. The Dark Garden used to be full of evil and dark adventures. Now, everyone was gone. The past was behind him but there were too many memories that couldn't be left behind so easily
Someone came up from behind. A green ghost chao with little spots floated slowly towards the other Chao.
The green ghost chao spoke with compassion, "Spark, you need to leave this place. There are too many strange happenings going on since the Undead Chao rose from their garden."
Spark had to agree. Lots of destruction came from there. Many chao have disappeared and many have been eaten alive. For unknown reasons, these undead soldiers have risen from their prison-like garden and have been killing innocent chao or turning them into more recruits.
"You shouldn't be here Dino, go home."
"But, but you need to leave before something happens to you. Your duty is done and your elders have said it over a hundred times. You're my friend and I can't let you sit here and pretend that things are alright."
Dino was referring to Spark's job in the wasteland he used to call his home. The Dark Garden gave him the job of being a warrior and that meant he would have to protect his clan with his life. Ever since the raid on his garden almost two years ago, Spark hadn't left his home and wished he could bring back everyone he loved.
"Go home Dino." he said firmly.
Dino paused a bit before saying, "I know you love her still but she has moved on, and you need to as well." Dino then flew off past the maroon clouds and back to his own garden.
Spark thought for many hours about what he had said about whom he had loved and never forgotten all these years. He never knew where to find her though. His brother hadn't recently stopped by either. Spark was concerned that they had both forgotten him or, even the worst, died.
Just then, a rumbling interrupted his thoughts. The ground shook a bit and then stopped to reveal a black cloud of ash and smoke below him. Something stepped out of the smoke. It was a very strange creature. There was something familiar about it though. Spark stared at it with horror as he realized it was a chao.
Its beady blue eyes gazed up at Spark. The wings were old and scarred as well as the rest of its body. The grin revealed ghastly needle-like teeth
The chao laughed and said," Hello Spark." Its tone was calm, yet threatening." I was overhearing your thoughts and I came across some memories of yours. Your brother and your love are alive but, you should know something else as well."
"What? You...you can read my mind?" Spark was so confused. He must be one of the Undead Chao! He had the markings on his wings!
"Of course I can, and I can also help you get her back. She has done some things to upset you that you don't know about." His grin grew wider and he said," All I need you to do is help me with a little task"
"What do you need from me?"
The chao laughed again and said, "Nothing unusual, I just want you to help me capture souls."
Shocked, Spark yelled," I'm not helping you capture and eat souls! There's no way that's going to happen!"
He grin grew even wider! "Then I guess you won't need your brother and your love to live any longer?"
"Don't you dare touch her! You have no right to..." He stopped.
"I know you.  You were here in the attack weren't you? You took my family away from me and burned my home down." With a dark and terrible rage, Spark growled, "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!"
He launched himself at the chao but he disappeared into dust and Spark just landed on his face. He rose from the ground and opened his battered wings.
The chao reappeared behind him and whispered, "If you don't help me get the things I want, they are all going to die and so will you."
Spark growled and turned to face his enemy, then launched again but this time with his wings to glide him, he had more force. Again, he disappeared just before he could grasp him.
"You are weak Spark, I can make you strong, and I can bring her back to you. Isn't that what you want?"
Spark froze. Could he really do that?
"I can."
He had already forgotten that he could read his mind.
"Meet me in the Forbidden Forest tomorrow. I hope you can make it." Then he disappeared into another cloud of ash and smoke. He was gone, whoever he was.
Defeated and tired, Spark fell to the ground, and fell asleep.
